10-00 PM (GMT) 24/1/08: Progressing with weaning programme, has been on CPAP machine. There were some air leaks from the lungs and hence more chest drains had to be placed to reduce the chance of tension in the pleural cavity. UPDATED INFORMATION ; 11 AM (GMT) 24/1/08: There are encouraging reports. Had the tracheostomy and is on and off the ventilator, trying to wean off the ventilator. Tube feeding is also improving. There is a small amount of urine out put now.

UPDATED INFORMATION ; 9-30 PM (GMT) 23/1/08 His Grace is making good progress all round. Trying to breath on his own, with out the ventilator. May need a tracheostomy for a short while. Not receiving any sedation now. Scan showed a lot of damage to the left side chest cage and lungs but healing is progressing well. Some more fluid from the chest had to be aspirated.
